What is your “why” for being a member of BRC? I had been an active member of the Rotaract Club of Mt Lawley for a few years and after “ageing out” I wanted to stay involved with the Rotary community. The BRC was starting up at just the same time and the chance to get involved with a brand spanking new club really appealed to me. What I like about the BRC and Rotary in general is the wide network of people you learn about doing great work in the community – there’s a lot of great work happening that you don’t hear about from the news or anywhere else. What I gain from Rotary is a lot of self – improvement. I took on the role of secretary because I know I want to improve my own organisational skills and the BRC provides a way for me to do that as part of a group of people who are really positive and supportive toward each other.
