Janine Ripper is a mental health advocate, small business owner and the Marketing and PR Coordinator for Mentally Healthy WA and the Act-Belong-Commit mental health promotion campaign.
As a reformed IT Project Manager, having burnt out at the peak of her career, Janine chose to leave the corporate world to pursue something more in line with her passions and values. A small business owner, writer, published author and long-time blogger (9 years and counting) with a passion for all things mental health, Janine openly shares her story of lived experience with depression, anxiety and loss to suicide in order to help others and to combat stigma associated with mental illness.
As a freelance marketing and communications specialist, Janine supports individuals, small businesses and Not-for-Profits to showcase their stories and and build engaged communities – both on and offline. She also mentors people living with disability and mental health issues in blogging, digital media and personal branding.
